No
more fish
Staff Reporter, 08 03
After five years of loyal service to her work Julie has decided to take some time off from selling fish. The change in pace was most welcomed by Martin, which allowed them to spend the summer together enjoying the fruits of their labor. But don't worry, this "stone" is not about to gather moss, with summer over, she has already found several avenues for her bountiful enthusiasm.
Fifty big ones
I B Sludge, 11 03
The Martineaus are blasting holes in Statistic Canada's picture of what a average Canadian family is, yet again. First, the thirteen kids - not quite the statistical 1.7 "kids". Now, they have reach a milestone not very common in or modern society, fifty years of marital bliss! A big gathering is planned in Summer 2004 for the whole family in Powell River. You should already be aware, but if your not, email Julie.
Working for the Mouse
Hurt dEars 11.03
After years of working for various outfits affectionately know as "Mickey Mouse" Martin now works for Mickey himself! Yes you heard right. In the capacity of marine engineer, Martin joined the Disney Magic in April 2003. The 85,000 tons cruise ship, cruises the Caribbean powered by five V16 diesel engine pushing over 75,000hp. Professionally it is a great opportunity to apply his craft and further it too. The three months onboard went very quick as he was very busy with work. They went quicker still when Julie visited and spent two weeks onboard before the end of his contract, then the both of them spent several days visiting the Mouse's home. After spending two beautiful summer month at home with Julie visiting friends and family, Martin is now back at work, sailing on the Disney Wonder, the sister ship to the Magic, cruising to the Bahamas. He will be home for Christmas.
Ford
vs GMC
M.Y. Hurtnucles 09.03
The Leduc household recently acquired a full size beast for the driveway. In breaking with established female love of Ford Truck, and the male's previous experience with the blue oval, they could not resist the full size diesel 4x4 pick up's appeal of the GMC. Having said that, its a good thing the new owner is mechanically inclined with many tools at his disposal. So be on the lookout for a white blur in your mirror, if you see it, pull over, way over...

Josee and Dave busted down the door on their newly completed house. The very happy parents, brother, nephews, aunts, niece, uncles, friends et all were on hand in Anacortes this past August to help them "break in" their new home. Congratulations to you both, and thank you for the good time!
The
News Room is back
Spar K. Lots, 10.03
As you may be aware, this little area of this website has had tragic shortage of new material. Due to recent cutback, claw-back, divesture, etc (and other corporate term for "couldn't bother trying"). But that is no more I promise that this will become the next "big thing". Ok maybe not, but at least I will try to make an effort to post some news of what going on in our world. So sit back, don't slouch, take that gum out of your mouth, and don't keep your drink near the computer, but do come back to visit.

All
quiet on the front
Cecil B. Demented 12 01
The heads of the ever expanding Leduc family are spending a quiet Christmas at home. After a year of hectic activity, the parents are looking forward to "watching videos & sipping cognac". Family members will be dropping by but just about everyone in the family spending their Christmas with their significant other's family. Cat & Nol are spending a week with the kids away from home to relax and replenish on Hornby Island. While Anne and Alexis will be in Seattle to spend some time with their friend Jimmy. Martin will be over at Julie's parents in Powell River, while Francois will be over at his wife's parents for the week.
Reception well attendedJulie and Martin's wedding reception was well attended by guests. About 120 friends and family members attended the event on September 15, 2001. The ceremony was hosted by brother in law Doug and featured games, speeches and a live performance of Josee Allard. The setting, overlooking the ocean, took full advantage of the sunset during dinner. The rest of the evening featured dancing and the usual garter toss and cake cutting before the bride and groom were whisked off to a secluded Bed and Breakfast around one am. All in all a very successful evening.

Victoria - Despite a missed ferry, the groom to be reluctantly "showed up" for his send off party. Send off to wedding bliss that is. 11 people attended the ceremony which began with a quiet dinner at Moxie's in downtown Victoria. The festivities took on a new look when everyone was dressed in white coveralls and harmed with markers. The hapless groom to be was not that lucky. He was striped and forced to wear a pink poke-a-dot diaper and hood. His body was quickly covered in grafiti from passer by along with some stares of disbelief as he was toured throught the downtown core, from one bar to another. All in all nobody was hurt and a good time was had by all. See the pictures here.

Death
threats thrown out
Vic Sliming - 05.01
Victoria - The Larochelle
Bachelor Party Preparation Squad (LBPPS) have dismissed threats by
the groom to be's future wife and the Best Man's significant other
as ridiculous.
"All this huh bub is completely un-necessary as we are planning
a quiet evening of prayers and reconciliation with mother
nature". Rumors of "patty wagons", debauchery and
reckless abandon are simply untrue and vicious. "The
celebration of Mr. Larochelle joyous occasion is one way for his
closest friends to celebrate his deep love for his bride to be"
says Leduc. The festivities will be held on Saturday May 26 in
Victoria BC.
