Hello…

Welcome to my personal website. I am a licensed Marine Engineering professional, working around the world, on commercial ships. My spouse and I raise three young boys from our home on the West Coast of Canada, on Vancouver Island, in British Columbia.

Since completing a formal Marine Engineering Apprenticeship in Vancouver in 1999, I have worked on numerous types of large commercial ships, as certificated Ship’s Engineering Officer. I currently sails as Chief Engineer of an Articulated Tug and Barge (ATB) unit, operating in Central Canada, moving petroleum products.

Martin’s Marine Engineering Page – www.dieselduck.net is probably what I am most known for in professional circles. It is a website that offers a large collection of marine engineering resource, including numerous articles, pictures, videos, links etc, which are sure to benefit “new”, seasoned mariners, and ship enthusiasts. I started this hobby in 1999, and continue to maintain the website, which gets about 35,000 visits every month from all parts of the world.

I join my partner, Julie, on our journey through life with our three sons. You may visit her, through her Facebook page.

You will soon be able to register, and log on to this website for personal news, and media.
